Does Money attract women?

Have you ever witness some cases where a man divorce his wife because she's not making more money than him? I think such cases is very rare. But in the other hand you will often see the instances of wife divorce her husband because he is no making much money. A woman can be unemployed with no future hope but still get a husband but no woman will ever agree to marry an unemployed man who does not have any future hope.

Yes money attract women but mainly in society where there's large earning gap, men are expected to support women financially because women where deprived opportunity to earn much.

Money attract women because people usually practice homogamy, homogamy in sociology is a form of assortative mating whereby people form marriage and mating with a person of a similar socioeconomic status, ethnicity, race, age, educational level and religion. So a woman from wealthier family is likely to be attracted to a man who possessed material wealth

Money can overpowered people biological makeup

Although theoretically women are likely to choose tall guy over short guy, a wealthy dwarf guy will be choosen over tall poor guy.
Women aren't attracted to man who is much older than they, but an old rich man who is the age of their father can be choosen over a young poor guy who is 2-5 years older than them.
Also no any woman would ever like promiscuous man but still women will rather marry a married man with material possessions over poor single man and stay in polygamous relationship. I'm not saying all these without any proofs because all these scenario have already happened in my country.

Although there are some polygamous women that will be happy to share their husbands, sharing a husband will not work for most people because of the jealousy factor. Most people irrespective of the gender will never like to share his/her partner with other person. Being a woman who raised in society that practice polygamy doesn't change the emotion of jealousy, envy, pain and sadness. But still women in Nigeria would rather marry a rich man who has three wives than marry a poor guy who has no wives.

As you can discover from the above examples yes money attract women because provision of basic needs (food, shelter, clothes e.t.c) arouse the feeling of safety and security that most women want.
